Happy Tails pet service?

She had my dog for the weekend while we were gone and he came back half starved and severely dehydrated. He's still recovering.

My boss has used them for a few years now and they've been great. Do you know which person boarded the dog? We frequently have them take the dogs for extended periods. The only time the food thing was an issue was when they didn't realise that we feed the dogs three times as much as most dogs because of the amount of exercise they get. Although now the vet has said they are eating too much, so to be fair, the dogs were probably getting what they should have been--just not what they were used to. I would call Christine at Happy Tails and complain or voice your concerns. They've always been very responsive, so at least they should know you weren't happy and are worried for your pet.

It was also the first really hot weekend--even at home with our ordinary care (ie, the world revolves around them) the dogs acted like they were dying. now they are shedding in earnest.

Christine was the one who boarded him. She's got the instructions on amount of food that he should get. I wonder if her Rottweiler wasn't letting him near the food or water?

I actually had him to the vet to be treated. He was severe and noticeable when I got home on Sunday. He couldn't walk. I did call and leave a message because I can't imagine that he ended up like that within the couple of hours after she dropped him off and before we got home...but when I called her on my way home, she made no mention of it.

Still waiting to hear back. : (

She has been great about short notices and the like, but I can't keep using them if her place puts him in distress or makes him ill.
