There has been a sweet cat visitor in our yard all morning (Park Ave and Chandler - near Somerville library branch) - a very small calico brown/orange calico cat with white paws.  She (?) has on 2 collars - one beige and one pink - but no tags with IDs or numbers.  She is very sweet but seems very hungry and lost.  Does anyone recognize this cat and know who it belongs too? (Picture behind cut)

It was hard to get a picture of her face since she is very active. I didn't see any tags for recently lost cats that match this description on this LJ or craigslist but just wanted to check since it is the holiday and make sure she has a home to go home to!

The below poster was up in my neighborhood, followed by a poster that said she was found, but since it's a calico, I figured I'd pass it along so you can call the owner and double check! First three digits on the phone number were 832.

There's a chance she might be microchipped - maybe call
Animal Control folks - ?

There is a calico like that who is an indoor/outdoor kitty who lives on Day street near Flatbread. I'll keep an eye out to see if her owner is looking for her.

This is part of why I feel domesticated cats should be kept indoors. This might just be a cat that the owners have let outside. Yet this cat has been taken to be checked for a chip and Animal control has also been called about this cat. How is someone to know a cat is lost when some people just let them out? Not to mention cat theft which I've seen happen a LOT over the last 30 plus years as well as cats killed by other animals, cars, etc. This is a city people, please be responsible pet owners.

I'm glad that you've been keeping an eye on this cat and I hope you find the cats family as this might very well be a cat who accidentally escaped home and is lost :(
