7-Eleven is now open at Mass. Ave. and Day Street

It opened some time on Thursday, and is open 24 hours. So if you have a late-night craving for soda, coffee, junk food, Slurpees, bread, milk, hot dogs, pizza, or pre-packaged sandwiches, you've now got a local place to get them.

Depending on how long you've lived around here, you may remember this building as the temporarily relocated Pemberton Market, the Bread & Butter Konvenience [sic], or the White Hen Pantry.

Do they have any seating? There's an all night market on Mass Ave that I went to before, with a deli counter, but I can't remember the name. They have seating but forbid people to use it in the early morning hours.

http://GourmetExpress.us -- also a former White Hen. I've sat down to eat there well after midnight a few times, though not recently. Maybe this is a new policy? I thought they even had free Wi-Fi, which encourages people to linger.

I don't think the 7-Eleven has seating, but I'll take another look today.

yeah, that's the place. I've been there a couple of times between 2AM and 6AM and it seems like at some point they clean the sitting area and put all the chairs on the tables (to mop), and won't take them back down until breakfast time.

Nope, no seating in the 7-Eleven. It does, however, have public restrooms. I've never seen those in any 7-Eleven or other convenience store.
