Alderman Rebekah Gewirtz is skeptical of the proposal, as is evident from the e-mail I posted from her earlier. I think School Committee member Paul Bockelman's opinions are similar to Rebekah's, but he can speak for himself here (he has an LJ account).
Nobody from the zoning board was there. They were having their own meeting at CIty Hall at the same time as this one, and I would not generally expect them to attend informal meetings anyway.
