the ZBA officially approved Pinkberry. The meeting I reported on here is just an unofficial neighborhood gathering with no legal status whatsoever. So to say the "Somerville" approved one and disapproved the other is comparing things that are not similar.
Perhaps people are willing to welcome Petco because there is currently no pet store in the neighborhood at all, while there are plenty of bars that serve good beer already.
