Summer Street, just past the VFW

davis_squareAs you pass the fenced in area after the VFW on Summer Street, there is often an odor. It reminds me of the smell of hot black olives, or decaying rubber. Does anyone know what this smell is or how we could find out? It's been that way as long as I've been walking by there, and I've lived here for 7 years.
