is anyone missing a beautiful brown tame pigeon?

Our neighbors in south Medford found this obviously tame brown pigeon and now have it inside their house. Do you know anyone who keeps pigeons who might be missing one?

Does Medford have an animal control officer? If so, I suggest calling her (and maybe also Somerville's) tomorrow morning.

I found a gorgeous white King Pigeon in another neighborhood. This one looks like it could maybe be a king - short tail, chunky, bred for food and show. I brought mine to Angell.

after reading your comment, it occurred to me that the bird is probably banded and that someone should be able to translate that into useful information. I sent my neighbors some info. I'll let them know that Angell might be helpful.

For some reason, the words "tame pigeon" in your title dyslexed in my eyes to "tampon." And for a second I was all "What?! I either need better glasses or more sleep.
