What to do with excess compost?
May. 25th, 2013 01:30 amI want to compost my food waste, but there is zero backyard in my lot and I'm not much of a container gardener. So I'm wondering what I might do with excess compost. Are there folks near Ball Sq who would accept my compost for their own use? I googled around and checked the "compost" tag, and found a few cheap services and a bunch of references to Whole Foods, but I don't have a car and I was kinda hoping I could haul a bucket a few blocks once a week. So if you live near Lowden Ave and you want more compost, let me know? (Or if you are involved with the garden on the Community Path, perhaps?)

Date: 2013-05-25 04:33 pm (UTC)I live in the Teele/Powderhouse/Davis area, and our compost bin has plenty of room in it. You can drop off compostable kitchen scraps (vegetable matter + eggshells, no other animal products) in our bin any time. PM if you'd like my address.
