This Pride Month, Theatre@First is proud to present The Baltimore Waltz by renowned playwright, Paula Vogel. Performances will take place right in Davis Square at Unity Somerville, 6 William Street, Somerville, MA. Dates are times are June 20, 21, 22, 27, and 28 at 8PM and June 29 at 2PM. For tickets and reservations visit http://www.theatreatfirst.org/tickets.shtml.

The Baltimore Waltz is Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Paula Vogel's tragical-farcical love letter to her brother, Carl, who died of AIDS in 1988. It is a breathless, bawdy, and dreamlike tour through a Europe that exists only in the imagination of old Hollywood. Anna has contracted a dread illness - Acquired Toilet Disease, or ATD - and her brother Carl whisks her through Europe to find an experimental cure. Only after countless sexual adventures and film-noir-style intrigue with the mysterious Third Man do we discover the truth.

By turns hilarious and dark, The Baltimore Waltz is sure to sweep audiences off their feet. Audience members are advised that this show is for mature audiences only. Directed by Kamela Dolinova of Medford, the show stars Somerville residents John Olson, James Scheffler, Tyler Hagan and Vickie Wu Torpey, along with Brigid Battell of Dorchester and Natasha Pierre of Belmont.

Theatre@First is also proud to be giving back to the community. Throughout the run of The Baltimore Waltz, the company will be taking donations for the AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts, a local organization working hard to educate the public about AIDS and HIV and to stop these diseases from spreading.

Since 2003, Theatre@First, has been delighting audiences with a wide variety of community
theatre productions, including comedies, tragedies, staged readings and musicals.

The page that you linked to says that the June 22 show is at 8 pm, not 2 pm. Which is correct?

June 22 is an 8pm show. The only 2pm matinee is the final performance on June 29.
