Yard sale tomorrow in North Cambridge (right by Alewife)

Have you just moved and now realize you need stuff for your new place? Did you miss out on Allston Christmas because of the rain? Have no fear, I'm teaming up with my partners to hold a yard sale! Get cheap or free stuff!

Here are the deets:
WHAT: a multi-household Yard Sale!

WHERE: 24 Clifton St on Saturday 8 AM - 2 PM

WHO: Me and some other cool people, and hopefully ... you.

HOW: ... I'm not sure how to answer this

WHY: Look at all the cool stuff you can get for cheap or free!

* Books (including sci-fi, fantasy, RPGs, acupuncture textbooks, and more!)
* Tons of fabric for sewing and quilting projects
* Adult clothes and shoes, including a graduation cap and gown and a motorcycle jacket perfect for fall weather
* Kitchen wares
* Various electronics (surround sound system, old gaming consoles, games etc.)
* Various knick-knacks and fun things

B: this is Davis, a Somerville LJ. I'm fine with this ad, mind. but It should be specified this is Clifton in CAMBRIDGE, which is near Alewife, since Clifton in Somerville is actually *right in Davis* behind the Rite Aid.

You know what's funny? The reason I tried to make it clear that the location wasn't a problem for me, and that wasn't my problem at all was because you were such a fucking asshole last year about me advertising for a roommate in Somerville but outside your magical definition of Davis.

Er, you probably have me confused for someone else, because I've been living in North Cambridge for 6 years (i.e. most of the time I've been in this community) and don't GAF about how anyone defines the area known colloquially as Davis Square.

anyway, now that I'm home (the mobile is a pain to type this on), the problem is if you don't put the city near the address, people can't do things like highlight it, right click 'search google', and get directions. I had, in fact, done that, not knowing that there was a Clifton in Davis at all. Google Maps tries to figure out what city you're in, and directs you to the one in the town you're in, if you don't specify (that Google Maps often guesses wrong is another issue entirely).

*my* first thought was 'but Brynn doesn't live in Somerville', when it directed me to Davis, because though I didn't know your address, I knew you were in North Cambridge. People who aren't me, so didn't flag to that may well have gone the wrong thing (on my mobile LJ app, the title of this appears as "Yard Sale Tomorrow...(more)").

So putting Cambridge in the header was a problem, because on at least one app, it's not going to show up at all (I can't tell you how it shows on the official app; it never worked for me at all).
