...Electricity!

Hello - I am very excited to be moving into a new apartment that is about a 5 min. walk from Davis Square. My current apartment (way out on the other side of the Red Line) uses Mass Electric as its provider and I only really know of NSTAR as a provider for the Davis Square area. Are there any others I should consider, and if so, are rates drastically different (I suspect the answers will be "no" and "no" but being a brand new resident to the area, I thought I'd cover all my bases).
Thank you!

There's no consideration to be made, whoever provides the service to the area where you're at is who you get. Utilities, for the most part, are monopolies.

Acknowledging the above, our experience with NStar (at two different places near Davis) has been reasonable, and the bills feel like utility bill prices.

Worth mentioning, they donated the exterior walls of their natural gas pumping station on Cameron Ave (near Mass Ave) to a local art school, who made it interesting to look at. You can see it from the bike path.
