It's the user's responsibility to keep up with developments in any community the wish to post in. This isn't craigslist. I'm going to become more quick-handed with deletion on this issue.
Perhaps you should warn with a comment before deleting things? That way not only does the poster get a chance to comply with the rules, but other folks can both get a reminder about the rules and see that they are actively being enforced.
I generally do. But if the correction isn't made, I delete the post. If I've made the same correction to many posts lately, I'm likely to give far less time. In the even I delete a post, the original poster is welcome to repost it with the corrections.
Is there a reason why "ads" includes "concerts" and "seeking roommates", but doesn't capture "We're going canvassing for Pat Jehlen and would like your help"?
