stolen bike :(

Someone stole my 8-year-old's bike out of our driveway today, and I'd appreciate it if y'all could keep an eye out for it, because she's going to be super sad in the morning when we tell her. (Yes, I've filed the police report and will be calling the bike shops.)

Brand-new, black and red, seven speed, hand brakes, 24-inch wheels. Of note, it has a combination lock looped around it, so we can authenticate the bike with that combination (if no one cuts off the lock :/ ).

I'm so sorry to hear this. How was the bike locked, and did the thieves break the lock?

It wasn't (it was in our driveway awaiting being put in the garage), so I have no idea if they've broken the lock (that would have been locked around the tube of the bike for storage).

Besides the fact that you shouldn't have to lock a bike that's in your own damn driveway; this just makes me furious. I will absolutely keep an eye out for that bike.
By the way, check your homeowner's policy because there's a good chance that this is covered.

Thank you for the sympathy (we're angry too). We'll be checking in on the policy soon...just finished calling all the bike shops...
