Hi all,
I am wondering if anyone has good leads on snow removal services? I would like to set up a service now (I owe my family a ton of snow shoveling, since I was out of the country during Snowrmageddon 2014). Any leads or suggestions for finding reliable services that offer a contract vs per shovel, would be most appreciated!

Best,
Mary

Be very careful when reading the contract. I had one years back that charged me like $50 normally for a 1-3 inch dump, and like $75 for 6-10 inch. We got a 2+ footer and they tried to charge me like $500 to $800 for ONE CLEARING. (It snowed deep 2-3 times that winter, and my bill was over two grand) I even tried to "help" by making my driveway have less snow so the 2 footer would only be about 1 foot, but they still charged me for the highest snowfall in the entire area as the base amount for my driveway. AND they tried to tack on a "middle of the night emergency clean" charge because it snowed late, and they wanted to charge me for being "forced" to clear my driveway at 3 am when I wasn't even going into work the next day. Luckily I had no signed contract with them, and we settled out of court and I bought a snowblower to do it myself.
