Register to vote by Friday if you live in Ward 6

To vote in the September 17 preliminary election for Ward 6 Alderman in Somerville, you must be registered to vote by this Friday, August 28. Only Ward 6 will be having an election in September.

Ward 6 contains Davis Square and much of the immediately surrounding area, stretching up to Tufts University and towards Porter and Ball squares. Find out whether you live in Ward 6 by entering your address into this form or looking at this map.

You can register to vote, or change your registration address if you've recently moved, in a few different ways:

• in person at City Hall
• Fill out this form online, print it, sign it, and mail it, postmarked by this Friday
• Pick up a paper voter registration form at a library, fill it in, sign it, and mail it, postmarked by this Friday
• NEW: If you have a Massachusetts drivers' license or state ID, you can register to vote online. Deadline is still this Friday.

You can also register to vote by stopping by my voter registration table in Davis Square today or tomorrow. I'll have copies of the registration form for you to complete, and I'll make sure your form gets to City Hall by the Friday deadline. I'll be tabling in the square 2-6 PM today and tomorrow, and a volunteer will be there from 6-8.
