Those make sense to me, also, and those idea don't have the disadvantage that it would cost you $100 or $200 up front just to find out how to proceed. You can get the paperwork for small claims court by just going to a Mass. courthouse. (I once got ready to file a small claim, so I had to get the paperwork.)
And my memory is that there's a form you fill out with the AG to get them to investigate something... and that you can do it online. If you can find other people in the same position and get them all to file with the AG, I expect that will substantially improve the odds that the AG will apply some pressure.
