"Site visits are now extended through November 23 and participants have until December 16 to decide if they would like to go solar."
More info below the LJ cut:
Our first program installation is in place! Check out our first neighbor to sign up, our huge champion Mark Stern's interview with Somerville Neighborhood News. http://www.somervillema.gov/sustainaville/solarize-blog.html#firstinstallation
Upcoming events:
Resistat: the last one is this evening, in Ward 2 this evening. http://www.somervillema.gov/calendar/resistat-meeting-ward-1
Polling places: we'll have volunteers outside some polling places next week, so if you spot us on your way out, pick up your "Solarize Somerville" carabiners to hang your mittens and keys on over the winter!
Big event:
Solarize Somerville Giveaway and Q&A
Have you completed a site assessment and have outstanding solar questions? Speak with Christine Andrews, City of Somerville Housing and Environment Programs Coordinator; Mary Mangan, resident and Solar Coach; and SolarFlair representatives to have your questions specific to your solar project answered. Join us at City Hall Annex at 50 Evergreen Avenue, Somerville, second floor on Thursday, November 10th 8:30 am-7:30 pm with your last-minute questions about your solar project. Those who have signed contracts are also invited to stop by City Hall Annex on November 10th to pick up their FREE SOLARIZE SOMERVILLE T-SHIRT OR HAT!
Thanks so much to everyone who has supported us and talked up our program over these last months. Remind your neighbors that there's a bit more time now to join us in Solarizing Somerville. And if you have remaining questions, please do reach out to us at the office hours next week, or by email or phone.
