Plone Software Consultant for Engineering Educational Non-Profit

Machine Science Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting hands-on engineering education at the secondary school and university level, is seeking a software consultant to improve the functionality of our Plone-based on-line educational system. Our on-line system includes a suite of instructional materials, on-line guides, and programming tools that make it easy for students to get started developing sophisticated, microcontroller-based engineering projects.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

• Knowledge of Plone, Python, ZPT, and HTML.
  
• Ability to create new custom products in Python and ZPT.
  
• Ability to customize Plone templates and behavior for a novel content management system.
  
• Ability to install, integrate, and configure third-party products into a heavily customized Plone installation.
  
• Facility with CSS and Javascript.
  

We estimate that this will be a 40- to 80-hour consulting engagement, with opportunities for on-going update and maintenance tasks.
