Metalheads, where art thou?

I've been trying to find clubs/bars/venues in and around Somerville for Biker or Metal type music and culture but I can't seem to find anything even close to what I'm looking for. The closest I've come is the Abbey Lounge, but the live music they play seems to be more Retro-Rock, Punk and Emo-core.

Are there any clubs or even just local group meets for people into Heavy Metal? Or is Boston devoid of metalheads?

O'Briens in Allston. Either that or trek out to Worcester to the Palladium.

Cool. I never would have thought the scene to be so small up here. Where's all the winter depression induced agressiveness? :-)

Guess I need to check out O'Briens then. And I'm sure I can find a way to get down to Worcester every once in a while...hopefully. Any ways to make the trek without needing a car?
