Please help, I'm chasing a puppy around my studio.

I rescued her from a litter as a christmas gesture, but now I don't know a cheap vet around davis. I'm quite poor, so if you know a good deal please let me know for shots/deworming.

Answers ASAP would be appreciated, as she's quite a handful and needs attention.

Animal Rescue League of Boston has a spaywagon that goes around; I've never used it but the prices are really low compared to a vet:

This site contained a list of other low cost pet services, may also be worth a look:

Best of luck to you! Hope it all works out for the best.

There is a free clinic in Brighton. Their number is (617) 782 - 5420. You should call for hours. They only take cash.

If you absoutely can't take the puppy, keep in mind that puppies always get adopted at shelters. The MSPCA in JP does not set a time limit on dogs without behavior problems. If you need to give up the puppy, please take them to the MSPCA.

You are really sweet to take in this dog. However, puppies require a huge commitment of time, money, and energy. If you're unsure about keeping the dog now, I'd reccomend giving her/him to the MSPCA now. Puppies are a lot easier to adopt out than teenage or adult dogs.

My bad. I jumped from the first piece of information to the next, with no segue.

Okay, the clinic for the number above does free exams. They also do very very cheap vaccinations & spay/neuters.

There are several shelters & orgs in the area that provide free spay / neuter if you are a lower income person. The MSPCA has a program called SNAP that does these.

Just FYI for the original person, when you call the spaywaggin' you WILL get a voicemail. they basically don't pick up the phone- you leave info and they call you back to set up a time. If I recall correctly, if you call in early january, you'll get an appointment for february etc etc.

I have used them for all 3 of my kitties, and they have been healthy and wonderful. They really take the time to explain things if you have questions, and if there is some reason that your cat/dog can't be operated on at that time, they won't do it! My oldest cat, when I brought her, had a temperature. They said it was probably stress of being out for the first time, but they gave her antibiotics and took the cost of them off of what I owed when she DID get fixed.
Don't be scared when you see that the surgeries are done on a truck...I was shocked, but I was very impressed.
