davis_squareI recently ran across dodgeball and signed up to try it. It's a service that lets you make a brief profile, like to "friends" as on friendster/orkut/tribe/myspace, and then send brief text messages from your phone "checking in" with your location. Your friends get updates (like, "Cos is at Someday Cafe") to their phone, and you can also look to see which of your friends have recently checked in nearby.
I'd like to try it with some people I know, but the only ways to find people seem to be 1) look for a specific person (by name or phone number), or 2) browse the entire list of profiles in your city.
Any of you used this? Or feel like trying it?
