We are looking to purchase a farm share for the summer. We are looking for the sort of community-supported-agriculture arrangement where you pay a set amount to a local farm and they deliver to some pick-up point near your home with fresh organic (or at least sensibly farmed) vegetables every week during the summer and fall.
Does anyone have particular farms in the area to recommend that have this arrangement?

Brookfield Farm (http://www.brookfieldfarm.org/) delivers to a pickup spot near Porter/Davis Square; they may have a waitlist but actually, looking at their website, it seems they may have spots right now. I've been with them for four or five years and I like them a lot.

Waltham Fields (http://www.communityfarms.org/) has such an arrangement with one of the local churches (http://www.firstchurchsomerville.org/) on College Ave. (You don't have to be a church member to take advantage of the deal.) Full disclosure: the pick-your-own herbs, flowers, etc. don't get delivered to Somerville with the rest of the share; you have to visit the farm in Waltham to take advantage of that.

Another happy Brookfield Farm person here. This will be my fourth year with them. Though I thought this year was sold out already...

Not a farm share, but something similar that works well for me - Boston Organics. I love it - www.bostonorganics.com

is this still true now? Its been 2 years since this person asked the question, so I wanted to ask, but since you're all of a block away from me, this would be perfect if its still happening.
