feeder mice

so i'm pet-sitting my sister's ball python while she's out of the country this summer. and this thing needs to get fed. and i've been to petsmart/petco (whatever that is in everett) & an independent pet store in medford, and neither sells feeder mice.

so, where can i get feeder mice? i have a car, so that's not an issue. thanks, folks!

Well, i saw a mouse running around the office a few days ago, and that doesnt look very professional. Maybe we could borrow that python for a while, at least until the mice are gone. :)

hahaha. i live in a really shitty apartment, yet we have no mice - which is actually a bit of a disappointment, given the situation.

while i appreciate the suggestion, my sister says that the snake will only eat live mice. do you have any suggestions for live mice in the area?

I've got a ball python as well. Any small domestic mouse should be good, you don't need to TELL them you're feeding it to a snake. If you need pinkies (for a smaller snake), you may need to call around to local pet stores to see what place has them. I'm pretty sure "The Pet Store" on Harvard Street in Allston, MA sells them, as they're a big reptile store.

Check out Boston Tropical Fish and Reptiles on 243 Msgr. O'Brien Hwy. in Cambridge, 617-623-4244. I've gotten feeder gold fish there, so they might have feeder mice for their reptile section. Give them a call - it's a quality place (atleast with the aquarium end of things).

Big difference in price though between pet and feeder mice, but in a bind it will do.

while i do see a fair share of mice while in t stations, i do not wish to risk life & limb by climbing in near the tracks.
