Seeking new people in the Davis area.

Hey my name is Cricket, I finally moved to the Davis area in April after attempting to relocate here since July 2005. I am 24 years old. I am a Psychology student studying to be a gender/queer theorist, so I am also a writer. I currently work in early childhood education. I am an activist and am very into volunteer and activist work in all different areas. I am an avid photographer and interested in art of all mediums. I am very into meditation, yoga and Buddhist and Hindu beliefs. I am pretty peaceful, adventurous and free-spirited.

I'm looking for some new friends/activity partners in the area. I'd like someone who is interested in going walking/running/jogging on a regular basis. I'd like to meet other people to go on photography adventures with. I'm also interested in finding someone to take a yoga class with at some point in the near future.

I'm a scientist/engineer type but I dabble in art. I do most of my running at a gym and stuff, but photography adventures sounds like fun. I want to get better at taking photos. I'd also be up for hiking and things like that. Welcome to Davis! :)

Seeing your LJ pic of Manray makes me think I have probably met you in the past. Even with MR gone though, the scene is still together and active. You should get out and enjoy it! We also usually have the big afterparty at our place (just outside of Davis) following the VI Fetish nights at Machine. You'd run into a lot of new and old faces from the MR days there.

Most likely you have. I used to go almost every night that MR was open. ha oh and I passed out at Flesh night when they rope suspended me one night, I never quite lived that one down, heh.

I've been to VI once, saturdays are sometimes difficult for me. I do miss MR and everyone from there a lot.

Hi and welcome to Somerville! I live nearer to Union that Davis, but I sorely need to start doing some regular physical activity like walks or yoga. (I think jogging/running sounds a little ambitious for my out-of-shape ass.) Also, I think you know my friend Jay who also lives in Somerville -- we should make her come out and take walks with us and enjoy the summer!

Actually... that's not correct...

Go to the club website: www.machinenightclub.com and click on EVENTS. For June, it's the 1st and 4th Saturday.

According to one of the VI promoters, it should be 1st/3rd Saturdays for June.
It'll go back to 2nd/4th Saturdays in July.

It's funny because my schedule finally leveled out to allow me to go on the 2nd/4th Saturdays... and then they switched... so now I can't until July!

I feel so cheated by the Red Sox!
