The New Orleans Public Library system has posted on their site how best to help them. PLEASE note that they are NOT looking for more physical books, but rather funding. Other area libraries may be asking the same thing. Check their websites to see how best to help.

No kidding. That link is the page that says how to donate - buy from the wishlist, donate money, or, if you must, send email with specific information about the used books you'd like to donate.

Some people donate the ickiest stuff to libraries. *shudder*
