A 23-year-old man died after he was shot several times in Somerville early this morning, police said.
The man, who police did not identify because his family had not been notified, was shot multiple times near Merriam Street. Neighbors called police at 1:07 a.m. after hearing the gunfire, police said.
Police said the victim and shooter were “known to each other.” One man has been arrested on armed robbery charges, police said, but he has not been charged with the death. Police did not explain the connection between the robbery and the shooting.
