Looking for apartment

I hope this is okay; I didn't see anything against it on the homepage.

My partner and I are looking for an apartment in the Davis/Porter/Harvard/Central/Kendall Square areas. We currently live with friends on Sycamore Street and are looking to get our own place. We would like someplace relatively quiet, 1-2 bedrooms, $1200, with dishwasher, and will let us have our kitty.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try the Union Square area. It's close to all the other squares you named, but a bit less expensive. My husband and I have a 2-bedroom and we pay $1500, but you could definitely find a 1-bedroom in your budget - we have little extras like a fireplace and a skylight. We also have a dog, as do many of our neighbors. It seems to be a pretty pet-friendly neighborhood. It's fairly quiet (some traffic noise, but that's it) and we do have a dishwasher! :)
