Furniture question?
Nov. 15th, 2006 01:08 pmHi folks,
I'm trying to get slats for a queen-size bed. Does anyone know where I can get them locally?
Thanks in advance!

Date: 2006-11-15 06:39 pm (UTC)I think that there's a futon place on Prospect Street near Union Square—I forget what it's called but if you're coming up Prospect from Cambridge, it's on the left-hand side near that place that has all the radiators on the lawn. I think it might be just up the street from Whole Foods as well.

Date: 2006-11-15 10:29 pm (UTC)The clerk at Tags told me they will only do three cuts per order, so if I wanted more than six five-foot boards, I'd have to cut them myself (or make multiple trips). This seemed like it might possibly be doable, but getting the ten-foot boards home would be a pain in the ass.
Ikea does sell bed slats, but they apparently only work with Ikea beds.

The slats in the boxspring can be rearranged for each individual sleeper. We would be happy to pass this on for next to nothing!
