Somerville: City of Lights - book release party tonight

From a Somerville Arts Council mailing:

In addition to the Illuminations Tour, the Council is releasing a book, Somerville: City of Lights, that will include essays and photographs honoring the families who participate in this great tradition.

The book opening party:

Somerville Museum (corner of Central and Westwood Rd.)
Friday, December 15th at 7 p.m.

The opening will include short presentations:
The Council will also present images of local homes and their creators.
Books will be presented to local families. Families will be bringing photo
albums and other material cultural artifacts. Joseph Sciorra will discuss
Italian-American holiday light traditions in New York City.

Come out and share the celebrations. Light refreshment will be served.

thanks for posting. I can't make the tour this year and I am bummed, but I am planning to get the map and do it on my own. I am interested in the book and may come out to the somerville museum tonight (a place I have been meaning to go for a long time too...)

Oh, neat. Where can I get a copy of the book? (Is it available now?)

Where did you get the map from? I was able to get tickets at a time I could make, but would love to do it on my own...

McIntyre & Moore sells the maps. Unless they've run out again. (I restocked them Saturday night after the tour was over.)
