Davis Square Steps Up
Somerville, MA
April 14, 2007 12:00PM to 02:00PM
Event Description:
After having met with some of you, there has been growing momentum for having and action in Davis Square instead of Union Square. This will help people using the T, facilitate permitting.... and it is another great square. We need to find musicians and artist interested in participating.
There is a larger group of local organizers putting together an event in the Boston Common to follow the local events. The common event is the cumilation of a walk by children and will invite senators and congressmen to attend and "sign legislation". Music too.

Date: 2007-03-02 08:39 pm (UTC)Really, I'm just the messenger here. My mom is the one who's really interested in this event, so I'm helping her out. Personally, I'm not much into protests anymore. I've grown to like using more positive messages, and more fun stuff, since I think that people are more likely to want to listen to you if you are happy than if you are annoyed. But, to each his or her own. Some people have a lot of frustration that they feel the need to express. Or, maybe the group working on the Davis Square event is going to focus on the fun stuff. They are asking for musicians and artists, so that could be fun :-) I'll probably go check it out just out of curiousity.

Date: 2007-03-07 07:32 pm (UTC)Hippie: We're using the power of rock and roll to change the world! Woo!
Stan: Maybe instead of complaining about corporations being selfish, we should look at ourselves. I mean, is there anything more selfish than doing nothing but getting high and listening to music all day long?
Singer: He's right. It's time for all of us to focus our energy and get this hippie jam into full swing.
