davis_squareFrom what I've heard, as of Dec. 1st many types of musicians will not be allowed to perform in the subway stations. I don't have all the facts, but measures appear to include banning all amplification as well as certain types of instruments.
Personally, I am more often than not happy when there's music on my way in to work in the morning, and many of my favorite subway musicians use amplification.
