Hi! I was wondering if anyone could recommend a trusted veterinarian in the area...and it would be nice if they don't cost an arm and a leg.

(My new kitten needs to get her shots.)

Thanks in advance!

Porter Square vet (in Davis Sq, on Summer street) is where my cats go.

There is one right in davis square by the domino's pizza place. I've brought my dog there and they have been good.

This is where the Porter Square Vets have move to from their previous locale on Elm St. behind Star Market.

I've been taking my kitties there for 9 years ever since one of my coworkers highly recommended the place.

I take my cat there too.

I personally recommend againt Dr. Cohen. Some people do like him though.

It's kinda far from you but the Brookline Animal Hospital is great. It's near the Brookline Village T on the D line. I take my kitty there.

My cats go to Dr. Levy at Porter Square Vet (which as people have said above, has moved from Porter to Davis in recent years.) My friends' cats go to PSV, when my parents lived in Sommmahville our family cats went to PSV. They're good folks, but I like Dr. Levy the best.h

I'm probably too late (just reading this now) but I like Union Square Vet.

Thank you. It's one of my oil paintings based on a picture of my cat, so the complement means a lot to me.

Do you have a full size of the painting? I would love to see it.

The actual painting is only 8.5 x 11. Since it's very dark, it doesn't photograph perfectly, but a bigger picture of it can be found here. (http://web.mit.edu/cat/images/art/cat.jpg) There are a whole lot of sublte greys lost.

That is very pretty. I love the mood of it. :) Although it looks dark the mood is actually quite peaceful.

Thank you. It's one of the very few paintings I will not sell because it means so much to me and I really do like how it came out. My cat is old and hyperthryiod, so I'm likely to loose him soon. I'm very happy that I have this painting as a way to remember him when he actually is gone. None of the photos I have do his personality justice. The painting does a good job of encapsulating the way I want to remember him.

But I'm babbling. Thank you again for the compliment.

That is a great way to remember him. It's also a nice way to look at all the cat pictures I seem to snap. "I'm just trying to remember them..." :)
