I'm going to be making a mole poblano on Saturday, and the recipe I have requires a disk of Mexican chocolate. Does anyone know where in the Camberville area I can find such stuff? If anyone says "you can easily find Abuelita in the hispanic aisle at the grocery store," (which at least two people have said so far) please tell me WHICH GROCERY STORE you have seen it in, because neither the Shaws in Porter nor the one at Twin City Plaza has it, much to my chagrin. And I don't even know if that stuff is in powder or disk form.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Edit: I managed to get to Cardullo's on my lunch break and got the last box of Nestle Abuelita chocolate. Yay!

I am pretty sure I bought Nestle's Mexican hot chocolate (disk) at the little fancy food store in Harvard Square right across from Curious George this winter.

Or Pemberton's...but I'm pretty sure it was the Harvard Square shop. I'll doublecheck with him!

Cardullos you mean? That was the store I was going to suggest.

Confirmation from boyfriend: Yup, Cardullo's. :) If I am remembering correctly, I found it in the left side of the right half of the store at the very back.

Also Christina's in Inman Sq. will have Ibarra chocolate. It comes in a yellow octagonal box.

I have bought Ibarra at the whole foods in Central and probably the Fresh Pond one, but not recently. Look for a yellow hexagonal box for Ibarra.

I would guess but cannot confirm that the Market Basket near Union would have it.

FYI, the last time I looked at Cardullo's, the Ibarra was like $5 or $6. Market Basket near Union has the Nestle Abuelita for $3, and I've seen the Ibarra at the little Mexican market in Union for $2.50. (Ingredient-wise, they're essentially interchangeable, but I know some people boycott Nestle.)

Ditto with the guessing but not confirming. It's the most multi-ethnic supermarket I've ever been to.

Why do they boycott Nestle?
