What do you guys think the best driving range is proximal to somerville?

The nearest golf course to Somerville is the one at Fresh Pond in Cambridge. Does that help?

After asking around some, Stone Meadow in Lexington looks like a good bet. The cambridge club unfortunately doesn't have a driving range. It does look like a nice place to play though.

Only other one I know of

is up on Rte1 in Saugus hidden behind a building they have all sorts of lights and heaters but no hitting off of grass http://www.golfcountry.org

I would say Stone Meadow in Lexington is the closest. It can get crowded on nice days, but it's a nice place.

I don't think Fresh Pond has a driving range. Please let me know if I'm wrong, because that's a lot closer.

Two other nice places, but a little further are in Middleton (I forget the name, but it's at a farm where they make and sell their own ice cream - worth the drive!). Also, McGolf in Dedham is nice.

It's a longer drive but I like Kimball Farm (http://www.kimballfarm.com/) in Westford.
