please could one of you recommend some place locally that could replace lightbulbs on my car?
anyone have recommendations for local garages that won't rip me off for this small task?

Have you considered changing them yourself? In my experience it's a very simple process, although it does require some handstrength.

On my car, replacing the front lightbulbs requires some disassembly, because they're placed in a way that makes it impossible for you to just reach in. (A friend of mine, when I mentioned needing to find a garage to replace the lightbulbs, said, "Oh, it's easy, let me show you", but when I popped the hood and showed him, he said, "Well, ok, maybe it's not that easy.")

I can't recommend anyone, though. I had a bulb replaced at ABJ Automotive, and it burned out after 3 months. That might not be their fault, but it seems awfully early. I then went to Hondar House, and the light's not aligned correctly any more.

You'll have to provide the parts, but there's an Auto Zone right by the house and I know they're cheap. He just replaced my bulbs too, : )
