yet another car question

davis_squarehi guys -- my car's air conditioner is on the fritz and needs repair. (i'm pretty sure my Freon levels are low, as the fans are working just fine, engine temp is fine.)
i've noticed along mass ave there are at least three mechanics that tout their AC-repair skills. i'd rather not just randomly choose one, so can anyone recommend a place for this AC work in the area?
(if you happen to know roundabouts how much such repair might cost or how long it'd take that would be really helpful too.) i'm heading out of the area in 2 days and am curious if i should try to get this fixed now or after i get back.
