Davis Square T Art Project

Hi all,

Just wanted to draw Davis Sq artists' attention to a special collaboration between the T, Tufts University, and the City.  We're promoting a project to bring new community art into the Davis Square T station.  The new art installments will be 4'x4', and will be reflective of the spirit and vibrancy of the City of Somerville, the Tufts community, and the linkages between them. 

We're putting out a call to local artists to submit their work for consideration. There is a $100 honorarium for selected pieces.  The deadline for submission is September 14th.

In that relatively few people are going to get on the red line to go from Davis to Alewife compared to Inbound. (not saying it doesn't happen.. carless somervillians of the world please don't kill me)

From the link in the original post: "The children’s art throughout the station and sculptural art will remain intact." I love that kids' stuff and it's pretty neat for the adults around here who created it years ago.
