davis_square | 2 rooms open in Somerville apartment (Reply)

My wonderful housemate is suddenly moving for family responsibilities. I need people to fill two open, unfurnished rooms. Common areas are already furnished.

One bedroom is about 11'x11'. It has two big windows facing northeast, hardwood floors, and cream-colored walls with gloss white trim. It's $660 plus utilities. It'll be available starting Sept. 1st.

The other bedroom is smaller, about 9'x11', open right now. Same floors and paint, still two windows but facing southwest. It's $560 plus utilities.

The apartment is off Inman Square, one block from a grocery and a pharmacy. It's on bus lines to Harvard, Central, and Union squares (the 69, 83, and
91 buses). Or you could just walk/bike to Central or Harvard. On-street
permit parking for cars with Somerville registration.

We have cable TV and wireless internet. Heat is natural gas. Eat-in kitchen has tile floor, gas stove, dishwasher, and disposal. Full bath with both tub and shower, plus a half-bath to avoid lines for the bathroom. Washer/dryer in the basement.
We have a private wooden balcony overlooking the yard and picnic table.
It's a renovated Victorian building: shining hardwood floors in all the rooms, ornamental molding and grilles, and lots of huge sunny windows. The apartment is on the second floor. I love the place and I've been very happy here.

The landlord is local and responsible.
I'm 30, female, in grad school; I'm quiet, very clean, responsible, considerate, and open-minded. My goal is a household where we're on friendly terms but each have our own lives. Having your male friends/lovers/whatever visit is fine; I just prefer female housemates. Absolutely no smoking.

I have a cat. She's shy with strangers but friendlier once she gets used to people. Sorry, the lease doesn't allow any more pets.
