MBTA bus #90, which runs from Davis Square down Highland Avenue, then to Sullivan Square, Assembly Square, and Wellington, will now run hourly on Sundays, from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm. This will help car-less folks who want to shop at K-mart or other Assembly Square box stores.

Date: 2007-08-29 05:10 pm (UTC)On Monday I picked up a paper schedule for a route that I ride regularly, since it said it had a route change. I couldn't figure out what the change was, since there was an inconsistency between the new map and new timetable. So I called the T.
They said they wouldn't have any new schedules until Wednesday. So I called them again today. The phone agent couldn't understand what I was asking, so she asked her supervisor, who asked the bus garage. The agent's response made absolutely no sense, even after I tried to explain why, and she wouldn't give me the garage's phone number so I could bypass this frustrating game of telephone.
That website explains the change perfectly well. (It turns out the new route map is slightly incorrect, and the change website agrees with the timetable.) It has a link from http://www.mbta.com/schedules_and_maps/bus/ (via a JavaScript popup). I'll check there first next time -- I just hope the T puts the next change summary in the same place.
If the T's customer service people knew about that change website, all of this could have been avoided.
