Carnaval in Davis Square?

 Does anyone know what was happening on top of The Burren's roof yesterday (Sunday) in the late morning and early afternoon?  There were several percussionists playing samba rhythms on hand drums, accompanying a few women in Brazilian Carnaval dance costumes, complete with full headdresses.  It looked like a rehearsal, but for what?  It's the wrong time of year for Carnaval.

Never know what to expect in Davis Square...

Responding to my own query, it may have to do with the Honkfest coming up in a couple weeks, though none of the groups shown on the Honkfest web site seem to fit the description.

My guess is they were watching/celebrating the women's World Cup soccer match between Brazil and Australia.

so i saw this. it was being filmed. by two guys with cameras. it was just dancers/band members up there. band members dressed sort of like sailors, girls dressed up in like.. vegas gear.
all the guys working at mckinnons came outside to check out the chicks.
the whole thing went down between 11 and 12:30
