Hey there... anyone know a good tattoo shop in the area? I'm getting my first tattoos on both my forearms. I'm looking for a professional joint. Any hints in this topic would be Greatly appreciated.

I've heard nothing but good things about Fat Ram's Pumpkin Tattoo in JP.

I always recommend going to Lightwave in Saugus to get work done by Mulysa Mayhem.

I second Fat Rams in JP!! http://fatramtattoo.com/
Worth the hike over there. I got my first tattoo there and it was a terrific experience.

I also hear Redemption is good, but I can't speak from personal experience.

I third Redemption. I got my first two in RI (back in "the day") and had no idea where to go locally for my 3rd, so I checked them out. Incredibly professional, talented people.

My gf and I got ours done at Redemption and were very pleased with the results.

Fat Ram is supposed to be the absolute best tattoo artist in the state, but there's like a six-month waiting list.

They're a bit out of the way, but Joe Skramstad at Visions in medway is *awesome*. If you're interested I'd be happy to show you some photos of the piece he's working on, on my leg.

I am in the 3D animation program now at cdia, what a ride so far- so much to learn don't think my head is big enough. One of the open house's, an instructor was working on the image you have, very cool stuff, but i am far from stuff of that magnitude just yet. Is the picture yours or did you borrow it from a friend.

No - Joe designed it. I told him what I wanted and he did a tracing of my leg and worked on it.

The dragon is koi colored. I'm going to snap some photos tonight, I'll reply again when I have them up.

Updated the same link with the first color session. I have like 12 more hours to go though.

A lot of the white space will be filled with the water from the waves...so yeah. And yes, it sucks. So does all up around the knee and on the shin bone.

The ridiculous thing about those photos is the tattoo is much brighter in person.

Nice - looks like it's healing well. :) I haven't gone for another session yet - probably won't until towards the end of November. It's nice not having a leg in the process of healing, and it interferes with the motorcycling. I'll wait until the season is over to get more.

They're addictive, just to warn you!
