Hey there... anyone know a good tattoo shop in the area? I'm getting my first tattoos on both my forearms. I'm looking for a professional joint. Any hints in this topic would be Greatly appreciated.
I third Redemption. I got my first two in RI (back in "the day") and had no idea where to go locally for my 3rd, so I checked them out. Incredibly professional, talented people.
They're a bit out of the way, but Joe Skramstad at Visions in medway is *awesome*. If you're interested I'd be happy to show you some photos of the piece he's working on, on my leg.
I am in the 3D animation program now at cdia, what a ride so far- so much to learn don't think my head is big enough. One of the open house's, an instructor was working on the image you have, very cool stuff, but i am far from stuff of that magnitude just yet. Is the picture yours or did you borrow it from a friend.
Very very cool. Great shading on the dragon. I'm curious about your ankle... will you get that tattooed as well? I hear that's supposed to be Paintful!
A lot of the white space will be filled with the water from the waves...so yeah. And yes, it sucks. So does all up around the knee and on the shin bone.
The ridiculous thing about those photos is the tattoo is much brighter in person.
I'll post my tattoos when they're completed. As I said earlier. They will be very simple tattoos, text only. One on each forearm: "Love", "Beauty". "Love" on the left and "Beauty" on the right.
As soon as I schedule it and find the courage!!! I'd like to do it through Fat Ram's first but if the waiting list it too long for their artists then I'll get it done at Redemption.
so much talking on live journal, hope you decided on a tattoo. Harry Teastey is my instructor, i hope to learn lots from him, to fact to that he works for a game company and that is my end goal
I went with Fat Ram's Pumpkin Tattoo. The work they did was excellent. The artist that worked on me was Alex, an apprentice. Excellent work Alex. I don't have any pictures yet. The healing process is going well, I think. It feels like a sunburn but looks better today than yesterday!!!
Nice - looks like it's healing well. :) I haven't gone for another session yet - probably won't until towards the end of November. It's nice not having a leg in the process of healing, and it interferes with the motorcycling. I'll wait until the season is over to get more.

Fat Ram
Date: 2007-09-26 03:06 am (UTC)Worth the hike over there. I got my first tattoo there and it was a terrific experience.
I also hear Redemption is good, but I can't speak from personal experience.
