Howdy folks,
Just a reminder that The Somerville Garden Club is having its monthly meeting Wednesday, 10/10/2007, 7pm at the Tufts Administration Building (TAB), up on the 2nd floor.
The TAB is at 167 Holland St., about halfway between Davis Square and Teele Square.
The meeting is FREE and ALWAYS on the 2nd Wednesday of every month.
You don't need it to attend our meetings, but if you'd like to buy a membership, you can do so at the table near the door when you come in. Or you can mail us a check (address info on the website). It costs $20 and nets you our delightful monthly newsletter (we'll have some freebies at the meeting if you'd like to take a gander), access to our mailing list (where we send out invitations to members-only garden visits as well as other announcements and information), and a 10% discount at both Pemberton's and also (new benefit) Mahoney's Garden Centers.
The meeting consists of announcements, round table (where anyone can ask a gardening-related question and get answers from experts), a lecture (Anna Warrock will be presenting on how to force bulbs), and a raffle. Raffle tickets are 50 cents a piece. The raffle can contain all sorts of interesting plants as well as books, vases, gardening magazines, and other garden-related paraphernalia.
Please join us! We're always delighted by new company.
Regards,
Kelly J. Cooper
SGC Secretary
p.s. I'm always looking for writers. We can't pay our authors, but you'll be professionally edited, the layout is gorgeous (another professional, donating her time), and the newsletter makes a great clip for your file.
