zipper replacement

I have a down parka that would have at least another winter's life in it — if it had a working zipper. Can anyone recommend someplace in or near the square that can replace zippers, and would have a reasonable selection? Thanks in advance!

My partner got a zipper replaced in a leather jacket at Royal White (our regular cleaner.) It wasn't cheap, but then it was a leather repair. I think working with down is also a specialized skill.

If you can't find anyone in Davis to do it, it might be worth a trip to Coolidge Corner and Richman's Zipper Hospital. They are really the masters of all things zipper (and I am sad that they moved from Harvard Square to Coolidge Corner.)

Try Elegant Cleaners between Porter and Harvard. They fixed a zipper on my boyfriend's ski jacket for about $40. Okay, so it wasn't a down jacket, but still: Zipper. Coat. $40.

Any of the small dry cleaners will do a zipper. I went to one in ball square and it was actually really expensive, so you might want to shop around.
