Street Cleaning

Street cleaning isn't supposed to start until April... so why is there a cleaning vehicle going up and down my street? There have been no tickets issued as far as I can see. Is this just a rouge cleaner or am I missing something?

sorry, found this late. they always do this as the weather warms (been here 11 years now). it gives the dpw a head start on spring and their battle to get all the sand up out of the gutters. the more they can get up now before the spring rains really start, the less sand will clog the drains and cause flooding in your basements!

they can't ticket/tow until the official street cleaning season - as others have pointed out.
