Google's Street Level View team has apparently done a really thorough job mapping the Somerville area over the last few months. Street Level view went live for the Boston area today. I looked at our house and I can see our pizza takeout boxes in our recycling. It's REALLY detailed. you guys might want to take a look at your home to see what the world can now see.

My reaction is basically:
cool? sure.
useful? definitely (I love the idea of seeing what a complicated intersection looks like or what store might be on the corner when I am going somewhere new, for example)
Creepy? Hell yes.
Yes, theoretically anyone in any car (or wherever else) could be taking pictures of anything in public view at any time, but the fact is that they generally don't (and even if they did it probably wouldn't be posted on such a widely used website) and we certainly don't go about our lives (most of us anyway) taking this possibility into account at all times.
