I bought a CD deck this past weekend at a Sony store. I need to find somewhere to install it however the big box stores (best buy, circuit city etc) all install products bought at their store. Does anyone have a recommendation in the area? I dont mind traveling a little bit. Thank you!!!

Do you mean that this is a CD player for your car? I don't have any suggestions, but the clarification might help.

That it is. It is called a CD deck...which is the same as a CD player :) I just figured anyone who knew stereo installation places would know.

Out of curiosity what kind of car is it? It might be something you could do yourself if you have any DYI leanings. Older japanese cars for instance with DIN decks are pretty easy to upgrade. Of course, these days, they integrate the deck into the car as much as they can in order to turn you off from upgrading it.

If this is an avenue you would be willing to pursue, you could probably google and find some forums for your make/model that would give in depth instructions.

I do a lot of do it yourself stuff in the house and my husband is a plumber so hes quite handy too. However this is something we dont feel comfortable doing at all. thanks for the suggestion though.

Yeah, it can be a major pain in the ass sometimes. When I installed one in my old Escort, every so often the wires would get pinched up in such a way that I would drop a speaker and have to take it out again and re-do it.. peace of mind can be worth the price!

That said, the Best Buy in Everett/medford near wellington is probably a decent option.. Probably get it put in for under $150

I've used Krank It Up in Medford and have been quite happy with them. On my last jeep they made a nice custom mount for speakers as well as a full installation..did a good job.
