There are folks in this community who've indicated that they're up for some good-sam shovelling.

There are also folks who've indicated that they may need some help getting stuff clear.

It's a neighborhood. Let's be neighborly.

If you need a hand, or can help, say where you're at.

I'm on the corner of Milton and Orchard. Anyone within about a block of there who'd like a hand when i get home from work this evening, give a holler.

I am shocked and appalled that you dare to presume there are no people in this community who are incapable of being neighborly. I take personal offense to the idea that it is status-quo for an individual to wish to participate not only in an anonymous online exchange but also to interact and function with other physically close people for the mutual improvement of our lives. How can you be so uncaring about those of us who may not be able to accept assistance? Your attitude is unconscionable.

If you're on or near Rice, I've noticed that the house that is semi-permanently under construction on Rice (maybe 2/3rds of the way down to Cedar from Mass Ave, right next to the woman with the awesome garden that had those enormous space alien puffball flowers, and sunflowers this year) hasn't been clearing its stretch of sidewalk at all this winter so far. :(

Anyone who needs help around Highland between Willow & Cedar please let me know. I did a couple of blocks of Highland with my hand plow yesterday so there would at least be a walking path this morning.

Awesome idea!

And might I add, feel free to mention areas in need of care that you might pass in your travels, just in case one of us lives nearby and could get to it.

Have shovel, will travel

I am a master shoveler (of not just snow).

Maybe we should organize into roving gangs of snow clearers.

I imagine there are plenty of elderly (or otherwise unable) who are in need of help.

I'm in the Ball Sq. area.

So I'm one of your neighbors, maybe even in the same building (#18)? If I can borrow a shovel from my super again (translate: sneak into the boiler room and steal one for a few hours), I am also available to help out neighbors.

If you feel like taking a walk down Lowell Street from Medford, there are a number of houses on that stretch that are inhabited by elderly folks and could probably use a hand.
