Does anyone know where I can find that cool T-shirt that says "Davis Square is for Lovers?" I'm not sure that's what is says exactly but it's something catchy like that. Something very pro-Somerville/Davis-

The Somerville Homeless Coalition is the organization who makes those. Sometimes we have them at Magpie but we don't have any right now. D-Squared might have some though.

You could try contacting Somerville Homeless Coalition directly about them. They seem to do print runs of them only sporadically.

It's not what you're looking for, but D-Squared has a variety of Davis Square t-shirts. I really like the one I got there... though I remember looking for a "Davis Square is for Lovers" at the 2006 ArtBeat, and only finding "Somerville is for Lovers" and wishing later I'd bought it anyway. Nothing, though, is quite as cool as this shirt my friend has that reads THE VILLE in big letters and says Somerville, MA in small print beneath. Alas, they were a one-off long ago for some event (don't remember what). I covet it though!

boutique fabulous definitely had those shirts about 2 months ago, so i assume they always have them, as they had them in the summer too.

Really appreciate this tip -- I've been looking for "The Ville" t-shirt for a long time. Funny that one has to go to Cambridge for it ....

I was obsessed with finding one of these last year and finally scored at ArtBeat. I wear it with pride. Somerville Homeless Coalition had a great idea there ... they could sell, well, hundreds of these.

The Somerville Homeless Coalition doesn't have any left, unfortunately. The SHC tends to sell out of the adult sizes at ArtBeat and sells the rest (baby sizes) at the Redbones end-of-summer BBQ fundraiser. The artist who makes them for the SHC only makes a limited amount.

Hope you can wait for summer to get one!
