SCHEDULE CHANGE:  The showing of Be Kind Rewind at MIT for Tuesday has been postponed to a date TBD.  

SCHEDULE CHANGE II:  Harvard Real Colegio Complutense for Friday Jan. 18th:  Due to the recent death of the actor and director Fernando Fernan-Gomez, we have changed the movie of this coming Friday, January 18. We will screan EL ESPIRITU DE LA COLMENA, directed by Victor Erice in 1973. 

More activity this week as MIT is happily engaged in IAP, but still waiting for Harvard and Tufts to get back into full swing.

Here are the films for the next week from Medford-Somerville-Cambridge-Boston.  Please let me know of changes, additions and new sources of films.  I am always looking for new sources of free cinema. 

FREE MOVIE HINT OF THE WEEK:  Check out the Minuteman Library Network (http://www.mln.lib.ma.us).  With your registered member library card (Somerville, Arlington, Medford, Cambridge among others), you can request online DVDs (and video tapes) from many of the member libraries and they will be delivered to your requested member library.  Some libraries rent their DVDs or limit their distribution, so they aren’t eligible.  There are some limits on the number of requests, so you can’t use this like Netflix, but it’s great for when you remember that obscure Italian movie you want to see and don’t want to remember it for your next trip to Blockbuster.  You can keep most movies for a week and will get an email when they are ready for pickup. 

Check for last minute changes or contact the organizers to make sure events are still happening, especially in case of inclement weather.
