1 bedroom available in a 2-bedroom apartment located on Sycamore Street between Highland Ave and Medford Street. 20-minute walk to Davis and Porter, 10 minute walk to Union Square, 5-minute walk to Somerville Public Library, Town Hall, YMCA. On or near bus routes to the red line, green line and orange line.

“Philadelphia Style” set up, which means that most of the apartment is on the first floor, and one bedroom is alone on the second floor. The 2nd floor bedroom is the one available, and it fits a queen-sized bed and other furniture, comfortably. Great closet space!

Free laundry IN UNIT, back porch and fenced-in back yard, ample storage in basement and closet space in the apartment, hardwood floors, freshly painted in fun colors, on-street parking with Somerville permit, one full bathroom with claw-foot tub/shower, large eat-in kitchen with pantry, large living room and library/study, great neighbors, cat friendly (but no dogs).

Off-site landlady, easy to get in touch with and very responsive to repairs and tenant needs. Rent is $650 a month with a month-to-month lease. $325 security deposit required when you decide to take the room. First and last required on the day you move in. Landlady requires the name of your current or previous landlord for a reference, but no credit check.

Utilities are separate and run less than $100 (per person) a month, which includes Comcast internet and cable, electric and gas.
